I was working as a professional HVAC technician for a company called McCarver Mechanical Heating & Cooling. We were contracted to re-route the supply and return runs for a customer in Grosse Pointe, Michigan. The job was to replace the existing ductwork with new, more efficient ductwork that would provide better airflow and heating and cooling to the customer's home. The first step in the job was to remove the old ductwork and install the new ductwork. This involved cutting holes in the walls, ceilings, and floors of the customer's home and installing the new ducts. We then ran the new ducts through the walls and ceilings and connected them to the new furnace and air conditioner Next, we had to re-route the supply and return runs. I recently finished an air conditioning replacement in Saint Clair Shores, Michigan. The homeowner had an old, outdated air conditioner that was no longer functioning properly and was struggling to keep up with the summer heat. I installed a new, high-efficiency air conditioner in its place, which is more energy-efficient and can better regulate the temperature in the home. The new air conditioner was installed in an existing ductwork system, so I had to remove the old unit and install the new one. I also had to seal any gaps or leaks in the ductwork to ensure that the new unit would work efficiently and effectively. After the new unit was installed, I tested it to make sure it was working properly and was blowing cold air throughout the home. Finally, I cleaned up the job site and made sure that everything was properly disposed of.

I’m currently finishing a Dunkirk steam boiler project. The project involved replacing the existing boiler with a more efficient model. The project also involved modifying the control system to ensure that the new boiler operates within the required safety parameters. The project was completed on time and within budget.
I recently completed a hydrostatic pressure test on a Cast Iron Sectional Steam Boiler. This essential maintenance procedure involves pressurizing the boiler with water to check its ability to withstand external pressures. It helps ensure that the boiler remains safe and reliable, capable of withstanding the high temperatures and pressures within the system. To perform the test, I first connected the boiler to a water source and filled it to the required pressure. Then, I used specialized equipment to measure the pressure and ensure it remained constant throughout the test. Next, I slowly released the pressure, allowing the water to drain back into the water source. This process took several hours, and I closely monitored the pressure readings to ensure they remained within the specified limits. Finally, I conducted a thorough inspection of the boiler to check for any signs of damage or leaks. I also recorded the test results and documented my observations in a detailed report.
